The Hairdressing and Cosmetology program at Austin’s School of Spa Technology focuses on the development of the skills and knowledge that students need not only to pass the NYS Cosmetology Licensing Exam but also to become exemplary professionals in their career paths.

Our Hairdressing and Cosmetology course prepares you for an exciting career!

This course focuses on training in hair, skin and nail services. Completion of this 1035-hour course results in the awarding of a certificate and qualifies graduates to apply for a New York State Cosmetology License.

Austin's School is now the exclusive Elite CHI School for Upstate New York. This means that our students will get in-depth training with the entire CHI product line and will work with CHI styling tools from day one. Not only will you gain hands-on experience from practicing in the student clinic which performs services on the public, but you will also gain extensive knowledge on styling and color products from CHI®.

  • Day Sessions: Program completion in about 48 weeks
    • Mon, Wed & Fri 8:30am - 4:40pm
    • or Tue, Thu & Fri 8:30am - 4:40pm
  • NEW! Part-Time Evening & Weekend Session: Program completion in about 57.5 weeks
    • Tue, Wed & Thu 5:30pm-9:20pm and Sat 8:30am-4:40pm
