Faculty Positions Instructors - Cosmetology, Barbering, Nail Technology & Esthetics

Austin's School of Spa Technology is seeking qualified teachers for positions in our Cosmetology, Barbering, Nail Technology program and our Esthetics program. Requirements include: appropriate and valid New York State license in respective area and a minimum of 2 years working experience in the field. Successful candidates should have teaching/training experience and positive attitudes. Must be team-oriented, detail-oriented and organized, and possess the ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently. Staff/Administrative Positions

Austin’s School of Spa Technology, is seeking an Assistant Director of Academic Affairs at the school's Albany, NY Campus. This is a full-time position (M-F, with some weekends).

Successful candidate will assist in overseeing lead staff of instructional department, will be responsible for the efficient use of staff time in that department and achievement of successful student outcomes. Candidate will oversee instructional and related activities, staffing, and curriculum development of the programs offered by the school.  Supervise and mentor part-time and full-time faculty, advise students, and assure program quality and continuous development.  Partner with staff and faculty of the various programs to support students with issues central to student life.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; a graduate credential or candidacy for one strongly preferred.

• Experience working in a customer service, student services, or academic support capacity required, preference given to those candidates with experience in the beauty/spa industry

• Proficiency in keyboarding, Microsoft Office Suite, and desktop publishing. 

• Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation:

Varies, based on qualifications and experience.
